by roast beef man on June 09, 2009, 09:43:29 PMThats right girls. Dust of the shovels and prepare yourself for a solid weekend of digging.
What: Goldie Dig Day When: 28th of June. 8am. Where: Goldie. Let me know if you need a ride out! Why: State champs are the week after. Gotta get our Start and Finish areas sorted as well as give the whole track a good once over and trim up any trees hangin over the track etc etc.. What to Bring: Shovels, rakes, picks, hoes, wipper snippers anything you can. NO BIKES!! You will all get enough time to ride it at States. Extra info: Bring lots of water and some lunch and sunscreen. Not leaving until the track is 100% ready for the race!
Thanks to everyone on the weekend who helped build that berm. Made life so much easier with a heap of helpers. For the most part its been a few of us who have got the track to where it is and its been hardwork. Lets make this a State titles people will remember for good reasons! 642 Views | 46 Replies

by Jonny on May 12, 2009, 08:33:06 AM On Saturday around 100 riders hit the hills at Seeonee park for 6hrs of dusty technical mountain bike action. Over 600 laps of the course were completed, totaling close to 3000km! It was a great day and talks of the next event are already doing the rounds. Could it be 12 or 24hrs? We will have to wait and see. For now though, Seeonee Park is closed to bike riders. Please do not ride in the park at any time while we are in talks to best secure our future use of the facility. Riding out there may risk access to the park. We are hoping to get use to the park on a designated weekend as well as a social afternoon ride every now and then. All riders will require insurance to ride at the park during these times. I'd like to take this chance to once more thank those evolved on Saturday and the many weekends leading up to the race, for all their hard work. Bruce and the Scouts for organizing access to the park and use of the great bush out there, as well as taking care of a few other things. Jason, Andrew and Crazy for digging more than their fair share- along side anyone else who swung a fire rake. Jones and Jil for making the best of out timing equipment and registering all the riders. David and Sue for taking care of the food and drinks. Crazy once more for making some great trophies. And anyone else who I have missed. Your work is truly appreciated. Basic results are up, but due to a few glitches in the timing software I will need some more time to get laps up. Solo Elite- 1. Toby Boylan 2. Peter Macklin 2. by Bruce on May 08, 2009, 07:39:30 PMDue to some people riding in an out of bounds area last weekend, we are on our last warning to use the park. This is regardless of whether we have run the States.
We have exclusive use of the park this weekend but after that no-one is to ride at Seeonee.
I am in the process of organising a meeting between us and the Scouts to set up some guide lines of when we can ride.
The Scouts don't want to stop us riding but if we don't follow their directions, insurance issues will see our privilage to ride out there revoked. 217 Views | 3 Replies
